Flood Flood Go Away!

The devastating flood situation in Thailand has caused my family and I to move eastward to Chanthaburi. The place assisted us well because it is where my grandma lives and also where my extended family spent the month. My family business was not affected because the major branch of the company is located here in the province of Chanthaburi. Fortunately, the flood hasn’t yet reached my house or any district near, so it is possible for me to attend school on Monday, well prepared. I have improved myself as a learner by exploring a wide world of education on the Internet, and discover that people get to learn from more than just going to school.  This motivates me to be a continuous online learner and also being a resourceful learner, using the learning tools I have here.
The catastrophe in Thailand may cause a yearlong renovation in certain highly damaged areas. Furthermore, the country may face food shortage for a while especially with rice. In addition, food prices will madly increase causing a great change to Thailand’s economy. Households and citizens affected by flood may need a lengthy time to clean up the mess the disaster had caused. This could also lead to a downfall in tourism industries of the country as well. Thailand will also lack clean water for a short-term time being because the flood affects the water filtration system.
As a community member, I feel the necessities to help other people since I myself, am grateful that I didn’t experience detrimental flood. It is beyond my strength to give help to every flood victims but possible things I believe I could do are first of all, helping someone near. The flood may have affected my neighbor’s family. It is important to provide them their needs as much as possible. Donating money is also an efficient way to help flood victims. It is not always necessary to give off a large amount of money but it is possible to gather a lot and sum it to a huge one. I believe everyone could be apart of helping if they have cooperation. My moral compass says to reach out a helping hand. Even a small one counts. Right now I can turn that into action by help packing donations that will be sent to flood victims in Ayutthaya by a boat. My relatives have already done it so why stand still?

Who Am I Video

Hi! This is a short video that describes myself and what helped to shape who I am today. Several important things about me will be revealed throughout this video such as my personality traits. From watching this video, you will find out that my life doesn't always include a square room. I am best described as adventurous because I like adventure whether it means to travel to a foreign country or travel in Thailand. My parents love nature so much, every year, we set camps in the forest at Pitsanulok for a week until I became a big fan of flowers and trees. To you, I may look thin but to be honest, I am an eater. I don't eat a variety of food but when it comes to my favorite food, it is a total non-stop meal for me.
My friends, family, and spiritual life influenced who I am today, and who I will grow up to be later on. I am Buddhist, and by going to temples sometimes or going to meditation courses impacted the way I behave and act right now. Before, I get mad really easily but as I go to meditation course each year, I can see the change in my anger management. Right now I feel like I am a calmer person than I used to be. My friends also had a major affect on my personalities. They have encouraged me to grow up playing sports and enjoy drawing for almost a decade (since i met most of them). Lastly, my family. They had the greatest influence above all. They shaped the "Ai" today. Without them, I might grow up nonspiritual or pessimistic because everything they taught me changed the way I thought and spoke. Even though sometimes I felt annoyed by that, I am thankful that I heard their reprimands that helped me to be a better person like the "Ai" you know today.
From creating  this video, I get to think more and learn more about myself. I never knew how much I was like my parents or what things had affects on my life. I believe that creating this video is helpful because I get to know myself more and recognize some parts of me that I never met before. On the other hand, this video is a complicated task for me because I faced a lot of problems and challenges I had to learn to accept and solve. I was stressed out for most of the time but after I finished the video, I felt a great sign of relief.
I this video will help you understand me more in terms of who I am and what I like. Thank you for watching and enjoy!

Birmingham Grid

The Birmingham Grid shows that I like to learn both when working alone and working with others. My past experience working alone and with others makes me believe what was shown on the grid. When I work with others, I can think of new and creative ideas. When I work alone, I am able to concentrate and give it the best . Besides interpersonal and intrapersonal, I also like to learn with nature which is an inherited trait from my parents. The grid says I like to learn using logic and numbers also, which is somehow true because logic helps me understand a lot more rather than using simple pictures (Visual/ Spatial) which seems to be the least-preferred way I want to learn. In my opinion, I believe that pictures cannot explain deeply into the subject. I like to learn with music a little more than image because music helps me remember things I learned about or list of things of a category  such as the 50 states of America in alphabetical order. The only thing I don't really agree with in the grid is kinaesthetic (body smart). I think I understand a lot more when I perform and analyze experiment or involve body action in my learning. I really feel that this grid is very useful to me because it shows which way I like to learn and helps to make me get to know myself more (what kind of a learner i am). I'm sure this grid will help me with my learning somehow.
